DR SULMAN AHMEDGeneral & Hepatobiliary Surgeon

Dr. Sulman Ahmed is a General and Hepatobiliary surgeon.

Sulman was raised in Sydney, and attended Trinity Grammar School (1980-1991). He completed his HSC in 1991. Sulman then went on to complete his medical studies at the University of Sydney; graduating in 1998.

Sulman then completed his general surgical fellowship in 2007. He has then undertaken 3 years of further subspecialty training in Hepatobiliary surgery.

Qualifications:
1998 MBBS (University of Sydney)
2007 FRACS (Royal Australasian College of Surgeons)
2010 Masters in Surgery (Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery)

Courses Attended:
Fellowship training in hepatobiliary surgery – ANZHPBA
Officer training – Royal Australian Army corps. Rank Of Captain.
Trainer Course for surgical trainees (RACS-2009)

Interests:
Cricket – avid cricket fan – SCG member.
Listening to audiobooks /podcasts – Japanese Novels ; health podcasts and business related podcasts.

Dr. Ahmed is married with 6 children. He is involved with school sports and regularly travels around Sydney on Saturday to pick up/drop off and watch his kids play sport.

DR AYSHA AHMEDBariatric Physician

BDM, MBBS, FRACGP and Dip Child Health

Dr Aysha completed her medical degree at The University of Notre Dame Sydney in 2013. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2021.

Dr Aysha has a special interest in weight management, weight loss surgery and chronic disease management. She is here to provide medical support through your weight loss journey.

Prior to medicine, Dr Aysha completed a Bachelor of Digital Media degree at University of New South Wales. At that time, she worked in publishing and advertising in Sydney and overseas in London. Making the change to medicine, Dr Aysha enjoys the patient interaction and continuity of care in general practice.

Outside of work, Dr Aysha is kept busy by her two young boys and family.

MORGAN STEPNIEWSKIAccredited Practising Dietitian

Morgan is an Accredited Practising Dietitian working across both private practice and hospital settings.

As a dietitian, Morgan is passionate about helping people improve their health and wellbeing through the provision of practical and evidenced based advice and believes in working collaboratively with patients to create sustainable change. Her areas of interest include bariatric surgery, chronic disease management, gut health and paediatrics.

Outside of work, Morgan enjoys cooking for her family and friends and going on adventures with Smithers the labradoodle.

NAYOMI DUONGAccredited Practising Dietitian

Nayomi is an Accredited Practising Dietitian working across both private practice and the clinical setting at Westmead Private Hospital.
As a dietitian, Nayomi is passionate about promoting the importance of good nutrition in maximising health through chronic disease management as well as pre and post-surgical outcomes.

JANOffice Manager

Jan has been working with Dr Ahmed since 2011 and brings with her a diverse and extensive knowledge of medical practice and office management from working with both GPs and various specialities over the years. She is a mother of 4, grandmother to 14, and great grandmother to 5 children, and has lived locally in the Blue Mountains since 1974.

SALLYOffice Secretary

Sally has been a member of Dr Ahmed’s admin team for one year. She has over 15 years’ experience in medical and allied health administration, having performed various roles over the years. She has lived in the Blue Mountains for over 30 years and enjoys visiting antique shops and nurseries in the area.
