Renee is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Sports Dietitian. She is the founder of Motivate Nutrition.
Since graduating from the University of Wollongong in 1999, she has experience working in the areas of clinical & sports nutrition, both within a public hospital & private practice setting. She has a keen interest in weight management, bariatric surgery, digestive health, sport nutrition and diabetes especially as it relates with children and emerging health technologies.
Throughout her career, Renee has worked in a number of hospitals in Sydney.
In 2015, she presented her research at the Sports Dietitians Australia conference. This research project evaluated smart phone dietary apps that provide carbohydrate data used in the management of children with diabetes.
Her sports nutrition work has been mostly within a private practice setting that includes individual consulting work, body composition assessments and sports specific nutrition seminars or workshops.
Being a Dietitian allows Renee to combine her enjoyment of food and exercise with her knowledge of nutritional science to promote optimal health, sport performance and overall wellness.
Away from work, Renee loves running, yoga and triathlons! This is where she really enjoys putting sports nutrition theory into real life practice for herself! As a Mum of two young boys, she is a keen supporter of any sport they are involved in which at the moment is tennis and swimming.
